EuropaBio and Smithers Rapra announce call for papers for European Forum for Industrial Biotechnology and the Biobased economy 2014
13.02.2014
In its 7th year, EFIB is clearly established as the market leading conference for the biobased economy. After 2013 saw the event’s successful transformation from a large conference to a full scale congress, EFIB will be heading to Reims, Champagne-Ardenne from 30 September — 2 October 2014. This new venue will allow the conference to make the most of its new format, and draw an even larger crowd of industrial biotechnology professionals. Organised in association with IAR and with a greater focus on the commercialization of the bioeconomy, EFIB once again gathers together the foremost representatives of Europe’s biobased community. EFIB is consistent in attracting an unrivalled calibre of speakers from across policy and business, and the organisers are currently inviting interested parties to submit papers for review for the innovation sessions. This year’s advisory board features high profile representatives from industry-leading companies across the value chain, including DSM, DuPont, Ecover and BioAmber, who are dedicated to ensuring that the innovation sessions feature only the most current case studies. Nominations are welcome for papers covering new products or processes that have come onto the market in 2014 or are in the pipeline for release in 2015, and have not been publicly shared. These should demonstrate how value has been driven in the bioeconomy, how a product has successfully been incorporated into an end-use sector or how investment awareness has been stimulated.
Submissions should be made with the following criteria:
Send a presentation title and abstract of no more than 250 words along with your name, job title, organization and short biography to hmarsden@smithers.com by Friday 28 February
All requests are sent to the advisory board and will be assessed for timeliness, quality and relevance to this year’s agenda objectives
Plenary sessions are strictly invitation only and no papers can be submitted for these sessions except at the specific request of the organisers
EuropaBio and Smithers Rapra reserve the right to make the final decision
