The participants (according to this year’s focus of the conference: from Europe) should hand in a completed application form, a two page description of their product, including printable digital pictures (300 dpi) which must be available to use on the conference website. The documents should explain the particular aspects of the innovation and when it was launched on the market. It is also necessary to submit a sample of the product (or a small material sample if the product is too unhandy). A jury consisting of representatives of the nova-Institut, sponsors and partners of the conference will nominate the outstanding “Top 6” applicants prior to the conference. The “Top 6” will present their innovations in a shared exhibition space. In a short 10 minute presentation, each one of the six companies will introduce its innovation. Three winners will then be elected after the presentations at the first day of the event by the participants of the conference. All winners and their innovations will be highlighted in the subsequent media coverage and will be included in the print edition of the international Business Directory for Bio-based Materials 2014/15 (iBIB): www.bio-based.eu/ibib.
