BIOMAC is the abbreviation for European Sustainable Bionanomaterials Community. It is an Horizon 2020 project that promotes an Open Innovation Test Bed in which technologies and solutions using bio-based nanomaterials are scaled up and prepared for market applications.
Just a few numbers: 34 partners form 12 countries collaborate in this project, forming 17 pilot lines and 3 transversal service hubs covering the entire production chain from biomass to final product as well as all aspects of market entry.
An open call will seek and select five test cases in automotive, agriculture, food packaging, construction and printed electronics applications that use bio-based nanomaterials. If you want to learn more about the Open Call please register for the virtual get-together on December 13th. Here the BIOMAC community will present an invitation for applications from SMEs, large enterprises and academic institutions to use the BIOMAC services free of charge as Test Cases, in return only for their valuable feedback.
