Beschreibung
This funding calls for research and innovation cooperation among Germany, Latin America and the Caribbean. It aims to establish sustainable and solid bilateral partner structures with the top research institutions in Latin America. The partner structure includes Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Colombia, Cuba, Mexico, Peru or Uruguay.
The partner structures to be established are intended to expand collaboration in the following research topics:
Raw materials and circular economy
biodiversity
Climate protection / climate adaptation
This funding welcomes small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and its associations in Germany and the aforementioned partners. Unfortunately, funding for SMEs is not possible.

Amount and duration of the grant
The development phase can usually be funded for up to three years, and the subsequent consolidation phase can usually be funded for up to two years.
Both in the development phase and in the consolidation phase, projects can be financed by the BMBF with up to 150,000 euros per project per year (up to 750,000 euros for a term of five years. The grants are granted in the form of a non- repayable grant.
