IOGEN

Canadian company IOGEN was the first to use commercial scale enzymatic hydrolysis in cellulosic ethanol production and built the world’s largest cellulosic ethanol production facilities. Iogen produces sustainable fuels by way of a refinery co-processing technology. Renewable natural gas (RNG) is converted into renewable hydrogen and the latter inserted into gasoline, diesel, and jet fuel. The company combines waste fibre conversion with Bioenergy Carbon Capture and Storage (BECCS) in the production of carbon negative biofuels.
