Multinational company with dutch roots SHV produces renewable propane, also known as BioLPG, which is chemically identical to fossil LPG, from plant/​vegetable waste. BioLPG is most commonly produced as a byproduct in biodiesel production from hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO). For every 100 units of HVO biodiesel, 5 units of BioLPG can be produced from the off-gas stream.
