Neste/Fintoil, Nexpinus
Neste licences its NexpinusTM technology for the fractionation of crude tall oil from chemical pine pulping into valuable chemical building blocks such as TOR (tall oil rosin), TOFA (tall oil fatty acids), heads, DTO (distilled tall oil) and TOP (tall oil pitch). Finnish company Fintoil uses the Nexpinus™ technology to produce Crude Fatty Acids (Finfa), which its customers turn into hydrotreated vegetable oil: biodiesel.
