Intention: The goals of the cluster project “Advanced Biomass Value” (ABV) are to extrapolate and valorize a new biogenic feedstock basis of third generation. These new raw materials differ from available biomass sources regarding their high yield efficiency, low lignin content and an improved land use efficiency. The project’s partners aim to use algae biomass materially and energetically. With regards to its material usage, high quality lubricants should be produced from the algae’s lipids. The residual algae biomass should be further processed to manufacture biokerosene. From this manufacture, further residual materials are accumulated and are further utilized in CO2-absorbing construction materials. This way, no waste is generated.
