Intention: In case of bone injuries, e.g., fractures, it is often important to fix single bone fragments for the bone to regrow together and be stressable again. For this process, screws and other implants are used as gold standard. The partners of the research project “Bone adhesives” search for a novel innovative and indulgent approach. They intend to develop a biopolymer which can be applied on the bone fragments in order to glue them together.
