New Tools for Efficient Bioprocess Development within the White Biotechnology
Intention: Newly developed, miniaturized and automated milliliter stirred tank reactors for bioprocess development together with novel magnetic-inductively driven, gas-inducing stirring elements that are applied in a parallel approach, can achieve extraordinarily high oxygen inputs. However, the measurement range of available chemical pH sensors is currently limited to the neutral range (6.0 < pH < 8.0). One goal of this research and development project is the new development and application of miniaturized chemical sensors for lower pH ranges (3 < pH < 7.0) that can be read optically.
