The sub-insti­tute Molecu­lar Pro­cessing of Bioproducts con­ducts research in all areas of mod­ern bioproduct down­stream pro­cessing: pro­tein puri­fic­a­tion, for­mu­la­tion as well as ana­lyt­ics in bio­phar­ma­ceut­ic­al and bio­tech­no­lo­gic­al aca­demia and industry. The research areas range from the eval­u­ation of pro­tein para­met­ers at the molecu­lar level, trans­port and sur­face phe­nom­ena of pro­teins, puri­fic­a­tion and char­ac­ter­iz­a­tion of bio-nan­o­particles and cells to devel­op indus­tri­al pro­cesses based on math­em­at­ic­al mod­els and high-through­put pro­cess development.
