Advanced Bio­mass Value

Inten­tion:
The goals of the cluster pro­ject ​“Advanced Bio­mass Value” (ABV) are to extra­pol­ate and val­or­ize a new bio­gen­ic feed­stock basis of third gen­er­a­tion. These new raw mater­i­als dif­fer from avail­able bio­mass sources regard­ing their high yield effi­ciency, low lignin con­tent and an improved land use effi­ciency. The pro­ject’s part­ners aim to use algae bio­mass mater­i­ally and ener­get­ic­ally. With regards to its mater­i­al usage, high qual­ity lub­ric­ants should be pro­duced from the algae’s lip­ids. The resid­ual algae bio­mass should be fur­ther pro­cessed to man­u­fac­ture bioker­osene. From this man­u­fac­ture, fur­ther resid­ual mater­i­als are accu­mu­lated and are fur­ther util­ized in CO2-absorb­ing con­struc­tion mater­i­als. This way, no waste is generated.
