New Tools for Effi­cient Biopro­cess Devel­op­ment with­in the White Biotechnology

Inten­tion:
Newly developed, mini­atur­ized and auto­mated mil­li­liter stirred tank react­ors for biopro­cess devel­op­ment togeth­er with nov­el mag­net­ic-induct­ively driv­en, gas-indu­cing stir­ring ele­ments that are applied in a par­al­lel approach, can achieve extraordin­ar­ily high oxy­gen inputs. How­ever, the meas­ure­ment range of avail­able chem­ic­al pH sensors is cur­rently lim­ited to the neut­ral range (6.0 < pH < 8.0). One goal of this research and devel­op­ment pro­ject is the new devel­op­ment and applic­a­tion of mini­atur­ized chem­ic­al sensors for lower pH ranges (3 < pH < 7.0) that can be read optically.
